While this podcast is long and in two parts, it explains in great detail how voters are continually manipulated into cult like behavior just on the basis of targeted<\/a> misinformation<\/a> and how that is coupled with corruption<\/a> on steroids. Technology<\/a> has a lot to answer for<\/a>, as it\u2019s a contagion spreading worldwide<\/a>. Not only that real journalism is also under attack both financially (no one buying newspapers) and having to compete with nonfactual<\/a> commentary across all platforms. As a result, the powerhouse news organizations lose their relevance and influence in getting real information out. Budgets become less and less for proper investigative reporting<\/a> and society suffers<\/a> the consequences<\/a>.
